Position Overview

As the practice continues to grow, we are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Finance and Administration to strengthen our leadership team, ensure organizational resilience, and enhance our financial and administrative foundations.

As the Director of Finance and Administration, you will lead the firm’s financial health, HR strategy, and administrative operations. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Partners, while mentoring the Practice Manager to build long-term succession and operational continuity.

This role requires a leader who can combine strategic insight with hands‑on support—someone equally comfortable in financial forecasting, HR policy design, and stepping into office management when needed.

This is a part‑time, permanent position (3 days per week) with a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth. At Superkül, we are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace where creativity and collaboration thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the firm’s long‑term goals.

- Oversee budgets, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Monitor project economics, resource utilization, and profitability.

- Act as a key advisor to the Partners, providing recommendations on financial performance, risks, and growth opportunities.

- Liaise with external bookkeeping firm, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure smooth financial operations.

Human Resources & Succession Planning

- Lead HR policies, compliance, and best practices across the firm.

- Mentor and coach the Practice Manager, building capacity in HR and finance.

- Guide the Partners on succession planning and leadership development.

- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development pathways across the practice.

- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.

Administration, IT, & Operations

- Oversee administrative services to ensure seamless office operations.

- Provide oversight on project accounting systems (Ajera), ensuring effective setup and reporting.

- Manage vendor relationships and procurement, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing.

- Oversee IT infrastructure (software, hardware, phone systems, internet) and related vendor contracts.

- Step in to provide direct office management support when needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.

- 7–10 years of leadership experience in finance, administration, and HR, ideally within architecture, design, or professional services.

- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and project economics.

- Demonstrated experience with HR policy, compliance, and talent development.

- Proven experience mentoring junior to mid‑level managers.

- Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (Ajera, Deltek, Sage, or similar), and advanced Excel skills.

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and with leadership.

- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on administrative responsibilities.
