Agropur is looking for a Projects & Automation Manager to join is Truro team.
The Projects & Automation Manager is responsible to manage the envelope for projects under 150K$ of the plant as well as the daily operation of automated systems, instrumentation & controls and electrical equipment processes within facility. This position will engage with employees to assist and direct all automated and electrical work methods and procedures.

What’s involved in this role:
More specifically, the Truro Projects & Automation Manager responsibilities will include:
Project manager for projects that falls under the envelope of projects under 150K$.
Oversee and coordinate the activities of the automation team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Create and maintain strategies to improve process efficiency through automation.
Manage control systems, processes, and machinery to ensure efficient operations.
Ensures the transfer of knowledge to the maintenance team to ensure autonomy in troubleshooting automated systems.
Guardian of corporate OT standards and policies on site.
Established standards for automation-related equipment and components to reduce the number of parts to be maintained in inventory and simplify the transfer of knowledge to the maintenance team.
Ensures the harmonization of the management of automation, instrumentation and control work with established maintenance work management processes.
Responsible for ensuring the optimization of the control loops of the plant's automated systems in order to ensure optimum equipment performance and process stability in order to reduce variation and increase system reliability.
Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and development of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) system on site.
Supports Capex project managers in the automation and controls aspect of new equipment and processes.
Monitor the performance of automation systems, conducting regular audits and adjustments to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
Develop and implement plans for control systems applications, equipment upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
Work with other teams and stakeholders to optimize machine usage and productivity.
Manage the budget for automation projects, including forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
What you need to join our team:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience with automated electrical systems required.
Manufacturing and/or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
