Summary of
responsibilities:
The Senior Advisor, Operational Contracts and Performance Coordination is responsible for acting as a key advisor to the Director, Operational Contracts and Performance and management team by providing strategic analysis, planning and advice on directorate activities. The role is the central coordinator for key deliverables, including maintaining the master action register and monitoring progress against approved commitments and deadlines. The Senior Advisor leads or supports priority initiatives and corporate deliverables, and prepares high-quality briefing materials, reports and presentations related to contract management and operational performance in support of CATSA’s mandate. The Senior Advisor performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required. Key Tasks and
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and reports on directorate programs, services, and priority initiatives against established objectives, advising management on progress, risks, and required actions.
- Acts as a central coordination point for directorate priorities and corporate deliverables, maintaining tracking tools and ensuring alignment with commitments, deadlines, and corporate reporting requirements.
- Maintains effective communication and collaboration across the directorate, the Senior Director, Operations office, and key internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and consistent progress on priorities and commitments.
- Supports corporate and branch planning products (e.g., Corporate Plan, Annual Report, CEO objectives) by coordinating directorate input, ensuring quality, relevance, compliance, and timeliness. What you need to succeed To qualify for the position, you must have:
- A university degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, public administration, communications, social sciences) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience providing analysis, strategic advice, and briefing support to senior management.
- Demonstrated experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and tracking programs, projects, or corporate deliverables, including managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare, review, edit, and quality-control written materials for senior audiences (e.g., briefing notes, reports, presentations and communications) and to convey information clearly and succinctly.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support coordination and advancement of priorities.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and synthesize complex information to generate actionable insights and inform decision-making. This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills that enable influence and collaboration across teams and functions.
