About the Role & The Mission

Are you a Senior AWS Security Architect ready to design and govern secure, compliant, and resilient multi-account cloud infrastructures? We are looking for a hands-on leader to take ownership of the architecture and automation of core security controls across our AWS ecosystem. You'll be the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all things related to AWS Security, ensuring our environment adheres to the highest standards of protection and compliance.

Key Responsibilities: What You'll Be Doing

As the Senior Cloud Security Architect, your impact will span across Identity, Data Protection, Threat Detection, and Network Segmentation:

- Security Architecture & Governance:
- Design and implement secure AWS Landing Zones using Control Tower, Organizations, and SCPs.
- Define multi-account security guardrails and create reference architectures for network segmentation (PrivateLink, AWS WAN).
- Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for new AWS workloads (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS).
- Develop security-by-design templates integrated into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.
- Identity & Access Management:
- Implement federated access and SSO using AWS IAM Identity Center (SSO), Okta, and Azure AD.
- Manage cross-account roles, STS trust policies, and automate credential rotation with AWS Secrets Manager.
- Data Protection & Encryption:
- Enforce encryption at rest using AWS KMS and implement encryption in transit (TLS 1.2/1.3).
- Manage S3 Object Lock and utilize Macie for data discovery and classification.
- Threat Detection & Incident Response:
- Deploy and integrate AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Detective, and Inspector for proactive threat detection.
- Integrate security findings into SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., FortiSOAR, Azure Sentinel).
- Automate response playbooks with AWS Step Functions and Lambda.
- Compliance & Network Security:
- Implement AWS Config rules and Conformance Packs (e.g., CIS Benchmarks).
- Configure WAF and AWS Shield Advanced for DDoS mitigation and enforce egress control.

Required Experience & Certifications

- 8+ years in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 4+ years dedicated to AWS cloud security architecture.
- Deep practical understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework (Security Pillar).

Preferred Certifications:

- AWS Certified Security – Specialty (Highly desirable)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- CISSP / CISM / CCSP / GCSA / GIAC Cloud Security Automation
