Role and Facility Information

Williams Lake:

Williams Lake is in BC's Central Interior Region, otherwise known as the Cariboo Chilcotin Region. There is a population of approximately 35,000 in Williams Lake and surrounding areas. A vast array of lakes, rivers, and hiking and biking trails makes Williams Lake a great place for outdoor enthusiasts.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital:

Cariboo Memorial is under renovation with planned completion in 2026. Currently, it is a Level 2 Community Hospital in Williams Lake with 28 inpatient beds, offering ER, OR, Med-Surg, and Obstetrical units. The CMH redevelopment project includes an addition that will add 25 inpatient beds, a new emergency department, and a mental-health unit.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital is looking for a part-time Urologist. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. The candidate must be competent with full scope of general urologic practice, with additional preference given to experience in reconstructive urology and management of complex incontinence.

Compensation and Benefits:

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:

- Retention Premium: 12.32%
- Retention Flat Fee: $19,092
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 - $15,000 based on move location
- Recruitment Incentive: $3,750.00 (based on 0.25 FTE)
- Other Benefits/Incentives: Rural CME: max of $4,840 after 4 years in practice

Rural Incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for BC or Canada loan forgiveness programs.
