Job Title: Motion Control Developer – Build & InnovateWorld-Class High-Speed Automation Systems

Pack-Smart Inc. is hiring a full-time Motion ControlDeveloper to design, program, and optimize advanced motion systems for next-generation automation platforms. This role is ideal for a strong controls/motion engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-drivenenvironment and wants to directly influence the performance and intelligence ofworld-class high-speed machinery.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, andsoftware engineering teams to architect, develop, test, and commission motionsolutions that push the limits of precision, speed, and reliability.

- Participate in next-generation motion platform development, including featuredesign, system architecture, and technology selection.
- Design, program, and implement advanced motion control systems for high-speedautomation equipment.
- Develop test plans, validation procedures, and commissioning documentation.
- Support the start-up, tuning, and commissioning of high-speed packaging andautomation machinery.
- Troubleshoot and optimize servo, PLC, and motion applications to achieve peaksystem performance.
- Provide customer support both on-site and remotely for installed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration ofcontrols, motion, and mechanical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics,or related field — or proof of exceptional skill with practical engineeringexperience.
- 5+ years of experience in controls and automation within a manufacturingenvironment.
- Hands-on experience with servo-mechanical systems, PLCs, industrialautomation hardware, and motion control devices.
- Strong understanding of Beckhoff automation platforms, VFDs, DC/servo drivesystems, and industrial safety systems.
- Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 and PLCopen standards (Structured Text, LadderLogic).
- Experience with OPC and industrial communication networks (EtherCAT,EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer support and commissioning.
