Opportunity Summary
Reporting to the President, this is an exciting opportunity to leverage your entrepreneurial skills and launch a new line of business under a well-established general contractor brand. The division will focus on building revitalizations, retrofits, and renovations in the high-rise, mid-rise, and low-rise market segments. If you are looking to combine your business development, relationship building, and construction experience to develop a business that you can truly own, this is the opportunity for you. We are looking for a talented construction and business leader who has an established network with an entrepreneurial mindset to help grow and direct a talented team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Utilize a professional network and foster strong relationships aimed at business development and creating strong trade partnerships.
2. Drive new business with a focus on building revitalizations, retrofits, and renovations in the high-rise, mid-rise, and low-rise market segments.
3. Maintain awareness of the current marketplace and trends to gain and maintain our competitive advantage and develop effective bid strategies.
4. Profit and loss, and full budget responsibilities.
5. Along with the team, lead proposal submissions, interviews, presentations, and client/consultant relationship management.
6. Collaborate with the team to plan, organize, lead, and execute $1M to $20M+ renovation projects.
7. Establish and maintain positive relationships with the direct team, broader internal team, and the community.
8. Contribute to management of all aspects of the project including profitability, schedule creation, and adherence to customer and company expectations.
9. Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel as required.
10. Provide leadership ensuring all site staff are adhering to the company safety culture.
11. Live and model the behaviors as aligned with Metro-Can's values.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience with a focus on construction renovations.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proven experience with driving new business.
- Proven leadership skills, and ability to create something new and navigate ambiguity.
- Project Management experience with a successful track record of running projects.
- Strong business, marketing, and financial acumen combined with profit/loss and budget management experience.
- Customer, trade, and team relationship building skills with a focus on long-term relationships.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated experience with contract administration and document management.
- Excellent computer skills including experience using MS Office.
