Upfitter / Mechanic

If you’re a hydraulic mechanic, hydraulic technician, marine mechanic, crane mechanic, elevator mechanic, or millwright with a few years of experience we want you to join Falcon Equipment This position is based out of our NEW INSTALL SHOP LOCATED230 TRANSPORT RD, SUNNYSIDE, MB.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

- Inspecting, testing, and diagnosing hydraulic systems to identify problems.
- Repairing and replacing hydraulic pumps, PTOs, cylinders, and hydraulic control valves.
- Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes, snow and ice, and rail equipment
- Performing other duties as required

Qualifications & Requirements:

- 3 – 5 years of hydraulics experience
- Their Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic is preferred
- OR will be in their 3rd or 4th year of their apprenticeship with related heavy equipment experience
- OR a combination of related education and work experience
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset
- Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
- Your own tools
- Welding and electrical experience and knowledge is a definite asset
- Strong understanding of 12-volt vehicle electronics and basic 12-volt circuit design.
- The ability to disassemble and reassemble new and used vehicle body, trim, and interior components.
- The ability to work independently, and maneuver in an around heavy equipment.
- Creative, self-starter with problem-solving skills
