QA Tester – Native Mobile/Trading

1. Stand-up Meeting, Sprint planning, test scheduling and test execution
2. Testing as per the Acceptance criteria defined in user stories
3. iOS / Android App installation using XCode / Android Studio
4. Validation of client side and server-side error messages, requests / responses through Charles Proxy
5. Create Test Strategy, come up with Test Device Matrix and review with program team
6. Execute test scenarios, scripts, or procedures
7. Exploratory Testing, Backward compatibility testing
8. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
9. Validation of API endpoints using Dynatrace
10. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
11. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
12. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
13. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
14. Create or maintain databases of known test defects
15. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1. 5-7 years of hands-on Testing experience with both Native iOS & Android mobile apps
2. 4+ Hands on front-end UI experience with digital trading platform testing [Quotes, Equity, Options, covered and uncovered calls and puts, Option strategies etc.]
3. Experience in Wealth Management Domain - specifically in Trading is a must
4. Experience with order management and trading applications in the equity brokerage space

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. 2-3 years Automation testing experience (how to automate mobile apps, no specific language preference)
2. Native accessibility testing using JAWS Screen Reader + Screen Magnifying tools (all mobile testers run accessibility testing and work with team on developers)
3. Experience testing on web apps
4. Recent relevant Banking Industry Experience
5. French testing experience (to validate via Confluence pages)

Soft Skills Required:

1. Excellent communications skills to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization
2. Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
3. Fast, adaptable learner who can hit the ground running
4. Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism
5. Must be able to collaborate closely with a team at times, while also being capable of holding themselves accountable to meet individual deadlines without hand holding

Education:

1. Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
2. ISTQB certification an asset
