Location: Fairview, AB, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, variety of shifts including overnight and weekends
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 for licensed Alberta Security Guards (conditions apply)

Overview

Paladin Security is looking for dedicated and professional individuals to join our team as Campus Security Guards in Fairview, Alberta. This position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus for licensed Alberta Security Guards and a great opportunity to begin or advance your career in the security industry.

As a key member of Canada’s leading security company, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security on campus, ensuring a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

- Apply decision‑making and strong communication skills to all duties related to security and safety

- Ensure Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed at all times

- Follow site‑specific Post Orders and instructions from Client Service Managers or Supervisors

- Undertake site‑specific training and follow direction from leadership

- Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points

- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety of personnel, buildings, and equipment

- Monitor for safety infractions or hazards and report irregularities (e.g., security breaches, facility issues, emergencies)

- Offer assistance to any person in need of support or guidance

- Contact emergency responders (police, fire, ambulance) when required

- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and information

- Utilize two‑way radios and computer applications effectively

- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to promoting workplace safety

- Motivate, support, and inspire co‑workers

Qualifications

- Must live within 45 minutes of Fairview

- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle

- Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License

- Availability for a variety of shifts including overnight and weekends

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong customer service focus with professional demeanor

- Ability to write detailed reports and maintain site logs

- Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situationsPhysically capable of walking 18–20 km and climbing stairs

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have

- Alberta Security License

- First Aid Level C plus AED certification
