Fleet Heavy Equipment Technician

Location: Bonnyville, AB

NOVA RPM is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to join their team in Bonnyville, AB. This is a great opportunity to maintain a diverse fleet while working with a growing, local company. This role primarily works in the Bonnyville shop with some field work required as needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is highly organized, and is able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of service.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a diverse fleet of on- and off-road equipment
- Complete CVIP inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability and safety
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues independently
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Collaborate with a team of technicians and operators to ensure equipment remains operational

Qualifications:

- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification with proven experience of independent, high quality work on a variety of equipment
- Experience with construction and earthworks equipment
- Dual ticket of Automotive Service Technician considered an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage tasks efficiently
- Commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CVIP licensed (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with acceptable Driver's Abstract
