This role involves working on window and door installations, glazing projects, and general glass work to support our company's commitment to excellence. Responsibilities/Tasks

- Determine type of glass, frames and material required
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Measure, mark and cut glass
- Position and secure panes in frame
- Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products
- Install door, window and other hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Repair glass doors and other glass structures
- Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
- Supervise other workers
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment

Experience and specialization

Understanding of Type of glass/materials

- Float glass
- Mirrors
- Sealed units

Frame fabrication and installation

- Curtain wall (stock length material)
- Curtain wall (prefabricated material)
- Spandrel panel installations
- Aluminum framing members
- Entranceways

Installation specialization

- Skylights and slope glazed installations
- Curtain walls
- Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems
- Glass baffles, smoke and sprinkler baffles
- Shower doors and tub enclosures
- Suspended glazing system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
