Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, organization, and safety-first approach will help ensure the success of our team and the safety of the traveling public.Working with Ledcor offers comprehensive training to enhance your skills, industry-leading wages, premiums and benefits, retirement savings plan (RSP) for your future and career growth potential with advancement opportunities in our diversified companyIf you're ready to take the next step in your career and make a lasting impact in your community, apply today Click the link below to see what it’s like to work with Ledcor and join our team in various locations across Alberta.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdhNKGIZL4cEssential Responsibilities:Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reportsSupport Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestonesMonitor the quality of work performed by the crewOperate equipment on work sites as neededHelp ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptlyQualifications:Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver's abstractPrevious supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field is requiredSnow plow experience is preferredStrong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specificationsProfessional written and verbal communication skillsComputer skills are an assetSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testingWork Conditions:Local candidates will be given preference due to the location of the workWill be required to work shifts, on-call, and nights as necessaryBenefits provided by CLACWork will be outdoors in various weather conditionsRates & Premiums:Will be provided a base hourly rate of $33.75/hr Eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations Operators will be eligible to receive a premium up to $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unitAdditional InformationLedcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
