About Us:
As a leading Canadian wealth management organization,Richardson Wealth offers the personal touch of a boutique firm while delivering big results. With offices across the country, we are home to some of Canada’s best investment advisors. We’ve embarked on an exciting growth phase – a multi-year transformational journey to enhance our entrepreneurial, high-performing, advisor-centric culture.
Position Overview
The Wealth Planning Associate is a key partner on a high-performing advisory team serving high-net-worth (HNW) families and incorporated professionals. We are seeking an experienced professional to move beyond standard plan preparation and take complete ownership of the client planning experience—from initial strategy design to final implementation. This is a strategic role with a clear mandate: to evolve and scale our wealth planning practice. You will have the autonomy to build and refine our processes, collaborate with specialists, and integrate technology to deliver a seamless, high-value service that defines our client offering.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Associate will own the financial planning process from discovery to implementation, including:
• Lead the client discovery process to gather all necessary financial data and clarify client objectives.
• Model and analyze complex financial scenarios using planning software to identify strategic opportunities.
• Develop and articulate bespoke recommendations in tax, estate, insurance, and investment planning.
• Collaborate with the firm's in-house Tax & Estate Planning specialists to architect integrated solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all aspects of their wealth plan.
• Oversee the implementation of all financial planning strategies.
• Prepare and present clear, concise summaries and reports for client meetings.
• Continuously refine and scale the financial planning process, tools, and technology to enhance the client experience and drive practice efficiency.
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of work experience in comprehensive wealth planning or financial advisory role.
• Advanced proficiency with financial planning software and Microsoft Excel for complex modeling.
• Superior analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to develop clear solutions for complex financial challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting complex information with clarity and confidence.
• A proactive, self-motivated professional who works with precision, both independently and as a vital member of a small, integrated team.
Education
• University or college degree
• Life Insurance License (LLQP)
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
Why Apply:
Our firm is only as good as the people who work here. Our employees are exceptional because they combine in-depth expertise with enthusiasm, and empathy. From our front office talent to our colleagues behind the scenes, we have one focus: to ensure our people thrive here more than anywhere else. Are you innovative, self-driven, and client-centric?
If so, we’re ready to invest in you.
