AZ Driver/Mover – Team Lead

As a Redmond & AssociatesAZ Driver/Machinery Mover - Team Lead, you will be in the forefront of our day-to-day operations. You will champion the R&A brand and drive business by transporting industrial machinery, forklifts, and other equipment to each job site. Once you are on-site, you will lead and equip a team in transporting and placing the machines. This position is for those already experienced in Machinery Moving who also have a valid AZ Licenseand can operate manual transmission. This position does not require a degree, but 5+ years of Mover/Rigging experience and an AZ License is necessary. Additionally, this is a leadership position, and special emphasis will be placed on developing those you work with. What will you do?

- Train and develop other trainees on machinery moving, rigging and other company-specific skills
- Load, unload and move industrial machines (ie. CNC Mills, Lathes, etc.), forklifts and other company equipment onto trailers on location and within our warehouse
- Operate a variety of Tractor/Trailer combinations, including Tilt N Load, Sliding-Axle and Floats
- Load and unload machines/equipment with the use of high-capacity forklifts and overhead cranes
- Proactively take ownership reporting equipment performance and resolving/preventing equipment damage/malfunction when possible
- Use GPS equipment and maps
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Diligently fill out paperwork & relevant reports relating to the days’ work
- Proactively engage with clients on-site

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

- 5+ years' experience moving industrial machinery
- 5+ years' experience with rigging
- Display obvious leadership qualities
- Valid AZ driver’s license, with acceptable driving record (abstract)
- Ability to operate manual transmission
- Integrity & character
- Positive attitude & disciplined work
- Punctuality & dependability
- Demonstrated passion for learning and growing, as well as success in hands-on work
- Drive and self-motivation, as well as excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Speak, read and write English fluently
- Basic Hand Tool knowledge
- Exhibit professionalism in manner and appearance

Nice-to-have

- Experience leading a crew
- AZ Driver's experience
- Flatbed tie-down experience
- Millwrighting experience (or other mechanical aptitudes)
