Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Data Technician to join our team at MediSystem Pharmacy. This is an exciting opportunity for you to utilize your pharmacy assistant expertise and contribute to the inputting of prescriptions into our computer system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve faxed or electronic physician's orders, prescriptions, or requests for prescription refills.
  • Enter prescriptions, refills, and prescription changes into patient records.
  • Create new patient profiles and maintain existing patient records on the MediSystem database.
  • Prepare prescription label printouts.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Self-motivated with a passion for providing high-quality client services and building relationships.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to navigate through various systems quickly.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university with a focus in science or pharmacy-related diploma/certificate.
  • Previous work experience using Kroll.
  • Previous work experience/knowledge with weekly dispensing in multi-dose packaging or compliance packaging.
Work Environment:

This role requires flexibility to work various shifts during business hours, including occasional weekend shifts and statutory holidays.
