What You’ll be Doing

- Inspire that Famous Feeling: Walk into the store ready to inspire teammates with integrity and drive, fostering a culture of caring and camaraderie. Coach selling behaviors behind our Customer Connection.

- Elevate to Your Goal-Crushing Era: Take accountability for your goals and their impact on Famous Footwear’s overall performance. Drive sales with purpose and determination to achieve goals. Every shoe sale counts

- Ace Retail Operations: Know the ins-and-outs of the store. Manage opening and closing, keep the store clean and organized, and ensure our famous styles are easily shoppable.

- Connect the Dots: Adhere to company policies and collaborate with partners and resources to accomplish tasks.

- Be a Famous Culture Influencer: Embody the behaviors that power Customer Connection and deliver top-notch experiences with attentiveness to customer service and brand requests.

- Bring the Positive Vibes: Embrace diversity and inclusivity, ensure every associate feels valued, and maintain a positive, proactive mindset.

- Be a Shoe-off: Be shoe-obsessed; recommend styles that fit customer needs and leave with the right fit and the Famous Feeling.

Essential Functions: Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Education

- Has a High School Diploma/GED.

- Proficient working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.

- Experience motivating a team to achieve goals.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow direction from the store manager.

- Mentor and train Associates on selling and operational processes.

- Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

- Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements and/or Environment

- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

- Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

- Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures needed to keep operations running smoothly.

- Team player with energy and enthusiasm to achieve goals together.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
