Job Description

The IT Quality Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role.

Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function.

Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.

Requires an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.

Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.

Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.

Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.

Regularly assumes an informal/formal leadership role within teams.

Involved in coaching and training of new recruits.

Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc., by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, and/or facilitating services to others in the area of specialization.

The work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production, making recommendations for solutions and improvements.
  • Conducts complex process monitoring, product evaluation, and audit assignments; reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions.
  • Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully/deliverably documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation.
  • Monitors products for conformance to standards; monitors processes for conformance to procedures; identifies risks and recommends solutions; ensures annual organizational reviews of standards and procedures are conducted.
  • Documents findings and performs root cause analyses to provide recommended improvements. Independently recommends solutions and improvements to existing standards and procedures; collaborates with other areas in technology to develop new standards and procedures.
  • Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented, and completed. Verifies traceability in project work products. Gathers, maintains, and creates reports on quality metrics.
  • Exhibits sound understanding of concepts and principles in own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
  • Acts as advisor and mentor for junior members of the team.
  • Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information in complicated and novel situations and provides solutions to problems.
  • Has direct impact on the team and closely related teams by ensuring the quality of the tasks/services/information provided by self and others.
  • Requires sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years' experience in an IT Quality role.
  • Demonstrated execution capabilities.
  • Development experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market driven environment.
  • Experience with test automation, test scenario, and test scripts creation and modification.
  • Comfortable with writing complex queries.
  • Experience with reporting tools.
  • Hands-on experience with testing automation tools.
  • Project management experience preferred.
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering independent testing for at least one major application belonging to the Unified Trade Processing System.
  • Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, Test Estimation, manual test case execution, regression testing, test automation development, and other project artifacts.
  • Implementation and execution of automation test frameworks for functional and non-functional testing using open-source tools.
  • Acting as a quality gate and Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs before software products are delivered to our clients.
  • Identifying and highlighting ways to continuously optimize the way in which QA function operates to create an efficient, scalable team.
  • Work with the business and Production Support to investigate issues and prevent production defects.
  • Analyze business/system requirements, build test plan which results zero defects in production.
  • Take ownership for delivering the task assigned and Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Ensure delivery within tight timelines and meeting the team's expectation.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs and Monitor debugging process results.
  • Together with the team contribute to innovative & best-in-class solutions for our business.
Technical Experience:
  • Candidate should have 8-11 years of industry experience on automation testing with hands-on experience in Selenium/Cypress.
  • Professional should have a strong understanding and experience in Java, automation framework development.
Must Have Skills:
  • Good logical and analytical skills.
  • Very strong programming skills in Java/JavaScript.
  • Good understanding of Automation frameworks [BDD/TDD].
  • Good hands-on experience in Selenium/Cypress, API/Rest Assured/Web Services Testing.
  • Should have good working knowledge of CI/CD process, TestNG, Cucumber, Jenkins/LightSpeed, Sonar Cube.
  • Experience of working in SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Should be flexible to perform functional testing as well.
  • Working knowledge on SQL and scripting.
  • Good Knowledge in GIT, UDeploy, Autosys, and Team City is must.
Add On Skills:
  • Experience in Fixed Income domain is preferred.
  • Experience in Python, Desktop Based applications would be an added advantage.
  • Experience with performance testing will be an added advantage.
  • ISEB or ISTQB certification or equivalent Testing Certification.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation/Post Graduation qualifications in Engineering stream with a very good academic record.
  • A high degree of Analytical ability and Quantitative skills is desirable.
