Our team is searching for a knowledgeable and results oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while collaborating with Asset Management to enhance self-storage facility profitability through revenue growth and cost control. Provide financial analysis and strategic insights, support cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, fair value, and key performance indicators reporting.
- Collaborate with Asset Management to develop and execute strategies to enhance the performance and profitability of self-storage facilities, focusing on revenue growth and cost control.
- Assist in formulating and implementing strategic plans to achieve long-term objectives and operational efficiencies.
- Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations for improving asset performance.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and financial trends.
- Collaborate with and support the finance, asset management, operations, and investments/acquisitions teams, providing guidance and expertise on financial matters and asset management strategies.
- Ensure that all financial practices comply with industry regulations and company policies.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field is generally required.
- Holding or working towards CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional designation would be an asset.
- 8+ years of related experience. Experience within the self-storage or real estate industry is considered an asset.
- Superior background in analytics, math, and problem solving.
- Ability to manage time effectively to handle competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools as well as excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Willing to travel within Canada or the US as required.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and adapt to new and constant changes.
