Overview
Reporting to the Asset Management General Supervisor, you will be part of the Asset Management Department. You will support our mobile asset fleets by ensuring adequate equipment specifications, maintenance programs, part management, and work instructions. The role involves working with several mine sites in partnership and ensuring goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Create new equipment specifications documents, and maintain existing ones.
- Develop and improve the fleet maintenance strategic vision (mid‑life, overhauls, lifecycle costing, Planned Component Replacement programs).
- Based on manufacturer, corporate guidelines, and client recommendations, create maintenance strategies for our mobile assets.
- Define part lists (Bill of Materials) and procedures for each maintenance strategy.
- Perform analysis, forecast, and control part consumption to optimize inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to provide technical support and coaching.
- Use data systems and databases for analysis purposes.
- Lead by example and encourage adherence to Agnico Eagle’s Health and Safety Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in maintenance, planning, and reliability.
- 5+ years’ working knowledge and experience with JDEdwards (and/or other CMMS).
- Proven experience in maintenance program development.
- Experience in maintenance in mining is an asset.
Work Schedule
- Hybrid schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, combining tele‑working with presence at our offices in Val‑d’Or, Rouyn‑Noranda, or Mirabel, QC.
- Frequent visits to our Nunavut operations are required.
Official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
