Facilities Planner/Technologist
Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Planner to join our Facilities and Operations team. This position plays a key role in ensuring our schools and support facilities provide safe, efficient, and inspiring environments for students and staff.
The Facilities Planner will support the development of long‑range facility plans, coordinate capital improvement projects, and collaborate with district leaders, architects, engineers, and community partners to align facility planning with the district’s educational goals.
We are looking for a professional who brings expertise in facilities planning, construction, or project management—someone who values collaboration, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating high‑quality learning spaces. Your Education and Experience
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Graduation from an ASTTBC accredited diploma program in a related technology, with five years related experience, and a minimum of three (3) years in project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Eligible for registration with ASTTBC as a certified technologist
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A thorough working knowledge of MS Office products, operating systems, networking and GIS software
- Proficiency with computer‑assisted drawing programs
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License
- Working knowledge of the trades relevant to the duties of this position

Wage $40.23 per hour. This position includes a comprehensive benefits and pension package.
