Our public sector client requires an Enhanced Reliability Cleared Senior Database Modeller / IM Modeller to support the modernization projects as well as the maintenance of its legacy systems in the public sector. Responsibilities: a. Design, develop and maintain Logical Data Models. b. Analyze proposed changes to databases from the context of the Logical Data Model. c. Provide technical expertise in the use and optimization of data modeling techniques to team members. d. Provide technical assistance, guidance and direction in terms of data analysis andmodeling to team members. e. Provide assistance to project team and business users relating to data issues and data analysis concepts. f. Participate in the development of data modeling and metadata policies and procedures. g. Participate in data analysis as a result of new/updated requirements. h. Apply approved changes to logical data models. i. Comply with corporate data architectures, strategies and frameworks, including enterprise data warehouse activities. j. Analyze and evaluate alternative data architecture solutions to meet business problems/requirements to be incorporated into the corporate data architecture. k. Review corporate architecture strategies and directions, data requirements, and business information needs and devise data structures to support them. l. Improve modeling efficiency through recommendations on how to better utilize current metadata repositories. m. Comply with corporate repository metadata directions. n. Provide input to and participate in refinement of data architectures. o. Define access strategies. p. Construct, monitor and report on work plans and schedules. q. Provide subject matter expertise to ensure data products meet enterprise technology standards for conducting, sustaining, and adapting to the business mission. r. Provide data architectural expertise to transition the current data warehouse application to a cloud platform. s. Assess the feasibility of migrating from the current state to the Unified Data Platform (UDP) architecture and enabling technologies, identify the risks associated with migrating to the target business architecture and technologies, and make recommendations for risk mitigation. t. Recommend prioritization of architecture evolution initiatives; produce and implement an architecture evolution plan. Must Have: Five years experience developing and maintaining data model and management solutions Experience producing a data architecture evolution plan Experience with RDBMS databases, Oracle and SQLServer Experience designing and maintaining database systems and data warehouse applications using Oracle 11g or higher Nice to Have: Experience providing support to Middleware applications Disclaimer:AI may be used in evaluating candidates.
