This role is a hybrid position. Candidates must be available to work for a minimum of 2 days a week at the Collingwood, Ontario, office.

Start Date: May 2025

Wage: $60,000 - $90,000 (Some flexibility based on the level of experience)

Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Compilation and review of client information and working paper file preparation
2. Year-end planning for various clients
3. Supervising engagements and related tax filings
4. Identifying and resolving engagement issues
5. Training and mentoring junior staff on engagements
6. Preparation of complex Compilation and Review Engagement reports
7. Ensuring the clients' satisfaction with the firm's services
8. Providing timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
9. Identifying and cultivating new service or tax planning opportunities for clients

A successful candidate will have:

1. A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance role
3. CPA designation or in progress would be considered a strong asset
4. Experience managing large engagements
5. In-depth working knowledge of accounting and tax
6. Advanced accounting, tax, and software knowledge, i.e.: Tax Prep, CaseWare, Sage and QuickBooks
7. Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
8. As a Leader, you are an active listener, empathetic, and can share clear messages and make complex ideas easy to understand.
9. Demonstrated team-building skills
10. Highly analytical and accurate, attention to detail is critical to this role
11. Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation to work independently in a high-volume work environment.
12. Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
13. A passion for client service
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
15. A willingness to continually expand one's professional skill set, learn on the job, take on additional responsibilities as required and respond to and thrive in a dynamic work environment

Candidates must be flexible to work overtime during peak business periods. Any overtime worked will be paid or recorded as in-lieu time to be taken later.
