The Department of Psychology at Queen’s University invites applications for a tenure-trackfaculty position in Clinical Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The area ofspecialization for this position is open; applicants with research, teaching and traininginterests in any area of clinical psychology are encouraged to apply. Applicants are invited toconsider and explain how their work may complement strengths within the Department (e.g.,cognitive, affective, and developmental neuroscience; interpersonal processes and mentalhealth; sexuality and gender/sex; health psychology).The preferred starting date for the position is July 1, 2026.QualificationsCandidates must hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the start date of the appointment.Further, the successful candidate must be license-eligible or licensed through the College ofPsychologists of Ontario. The main criteria for selection are a strong record of research,emerging skills related to teaching and mentorship, and clear potential for continuing andaugmenting these areas at Queen’s University. Specifically, the successful candidate willprovide evidence of high-quality scholarly output in top quality journals that demonstratespotential for fundable, independent research. A clear potential for outstanding teachingcontributions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are considered assets, and anongoing commitment to academic and pedagogical excellence in support of the department’sprograms is required. Candidates must provide evidence of strong interpersonal skillscombined with a flexible attitude and ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborativeenvironment. Finally, the successful candidate will also be expected to make substantivecontributions through service to the department, the Faculty of Arts and Science, theuniversity, and/or the broader community. Further, we are in the process ofrenovating a large area (255.48 m2) in the department to create a collaborative research andmeeting space to supplement individual labs.
