Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring the highest quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
Perform CT scans as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images while minimizing discomfort.
Maintain and operate CT equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Keep detailed records of procedures performed, including patient information and imaging results.
Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and best practices in patient care.
Skills
Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and imaging procedures.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Proficient in operating CT equipment and understanding its technical aspects.
Compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
