MD Financial Management, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Bilingual Trade Representative to join our team.

As a Trade Representative, you will be responsible for the effective facilitation of trade instructions and responding to on-line, telephone and chat inquiries from current and prospective clients, as well as internal MD representatives Canada-wide.

Pursuant to a language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank, the successful candidate will be required to communicate in English in addition to French because they will be required to work closely with other groups from head office who operate primarily in English, report to a manager from head office who is an English speaker, and/or serve an English-speaking clientele frequently.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

1. Facilitate real time and accurate trading related to mutual funds, equities, and fixed income products.
2. Maintain and monitor outstanding client inquiries and issues, ensuring that established service level standards are met, and appropriate solutions are identified to address administrative errors/problems.
3. Be accountable for developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of MD products and services, market conditions, interest rates, and other financial industry news.
4. Actively identify and develop opportunities for client retention and lead generation.

The Must Haves:

1. University degree in business, commerce or equivalent.
2. Front-line experience within a contact center environment, preferably in the financial services industry.
3. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is considered an asset.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. An understanding of the financial services industry, and its variety of services including investment account types, and financial instruments such as mutual funds, bonds, and equities.
