Job Summary:

We are currently looking for Senior BAS Service Technicians to join our growing Ottawa BAS team. The individual will work with our project team and report directly to the BAS Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.

2. Assist with site commissioning, point-to-point verifications, troubleshooting, and startups of BAS, HVAC Equipment, Lighting controls systems, and their peripheral devices under the supervision of a highly experienced BAS team.

3. Assist with project and service group documentation.

4. Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ainsworth Safe Work and H&S Policies.

5. Show initiative in learning HVAC and DDC fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric BAS product portfolio.

6. Show an understanding of HVAC and DDC fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric, Trane, Siemens, Automated Logic, or other BACnet BAS product portfolio and end devices.

7. Complete Schneider Electric product-specific training prior to factory training.

8. Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and System Integration.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience as a BAS service technician.

2. Valid Driver’s license and the ability to be insured by Ainsworth.

3. Pass security screening as required by Ainsworth's government clients and/or must be bondable. Reliability clearance is an asset.

4. Fluent in English—both written and oral. Fluency in French is a definite asset. Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and product documentation.

5. Graduate of a post-secondary technical or engineering program.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio or scripted programming language.

7. Ability to perform medium physical duties, stand for long periods in a construction environment, climb ladders, and work from heights (with fall arrest protection).

8. Some travel may be requested; travel expenses including mileage will be reimbursed.
