Technical Business Analyst

The ideal candidate will be a self-driven and dedicated professional with strong design and coding capabilities, responsible for building surveillance models in collaboration with the Risk and Compliance teams. This role requires thorough knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle, covering software design, back-end and front-end development, and DevOps automation. The individual will work closely with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design solutions, implement models, and perform testing in a fast-paced Agile environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in a dynamic team setting are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Elicit, analyze, and prepare Business Requirements Documents, including Agile user stories, proof-of-concept models, and supporting documentation.

- Analyze datasets to identify data gaps and coordinate with cross-functional teams to address them.

- Liaise with development teams to ensure products align with specifications.

- Conduct Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and create/execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test plans.

- Create and manage project plans and elevate delays to program lead.

Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in global organizations.

- Strong proficiency in Data Analysis and understanding of business requirements.

- Hands‑on experience with SQL, relational databases, and data presentation.

- Solid knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience working in international teams.

- Ability to collaborate with diverse IT and Business groups across regions.

- Self‑motivated, creative thinker with strong ownership of assigned tasks.

- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to propose creative solutions.

- Ability to perform well in fast‑paced, high‑energy, team‑oriented environments.

- Experience managing and delegating team workloads.

- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations professionally.

- Knowledge of trade lifecycles and asset classes including Equity, Fixed Income, Options, and Futures.

Preferred Skills

- Understanding of Compliance surveillance platforms (e.g., Actimize) and related models such as wash trades, marking the open/close, spoofing, insider trading, etc.

- Experience with IT project management, SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum), and BDD.

- Knowledge of trades data, positions data, and reference data.

- Experience working with Nasdaq SMARTS platform.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
