Responsibilities
  1. Plan, organize, direct and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.
  2. Partner with clients and a team of estimators, superintendents, etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Read technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed;
  • Aquire necessary technical and administrative information from persons involved during submission;
  • Obtain blueprints and specifications for construction and compare them to bid plans;
  • Report changes to professionals and claim costs;
  • Obtain licenses and permits as needed for execution of the work;
  • Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;
  • Develop prevention program requested for CNESST and monitor it on site;
  • Establish schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and/or critical path of the project and monitor it weekly;
  • Inform superintendent of the project and discuss with him and director of proposed methods;
  • Place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with construction manager, for subcontractors;
  • Coordinate and participate in various meetings;
  • Establish and maintain professional and continuous positive rapport with client;
  • Travel is expected;
  • This position is progressive and represents opportunities for advancement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering;
  2. Relevant 5 to 10 years experience in construction project management;
  3. Bilingual French-English both spoken and written (required);
  4. Master of MS Office and MS Project software.
