Westerner Park is currently seeking a General Service Employee to join our team. As a General Service Employee, you'll be doing the following:

- Set up and dismantle events indoors and outdoors.
- Collaborate with supervisors and event services to maintain high service standards.
- Ensure cleanliness of event areas pre, during, and post-events.
- Perform janitorial duties including scrubbing floors and cleaning bathrooms.
- Work harmoniously with staff, suppliers, and volunteers.
- Perform facility openings and closures as needed.
- Maintain show requirements and perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Operate machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and report maintenance concerns regularly.
- Maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and event areas.

Here is what you bring:

- Ability to work shifts, which include weekends and evenings. Can include starting times as early as 6 am and ending times as late as 2:30 am.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- First Aid training is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, familiar with SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Eventpro.
- Able to use computer skills to access schedules, SOPs (standard operating procedures), general inquiries, as well as fill in reports as needed.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Moving and transferring of materials up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to carry out tasks safely, demonstrated thoroughness, willingness, and dependability in completing all aspects of the job.
- The successful candidate will be required to provide a driver's abstract showing a minimum of 3 years of experience and no more than 3 minor convictions in the last 3 years.

Rate of Pay: $21.79 to $24.70 per hour
