Position Status: Temporary Full-Time (15-month contract)

Available: June, 2025

Description of the Position:

The Associate Director, Community Partnerships (TFT) will be responsible for leading their team to execute the fundraising strategy for new, existing and lapsed Community Partnerships Events (Third Party Events), focusing specifically on patient family and large scale community events, like runs and marathons, to grow program revenue and ensure existing events reach their maximum revenue potential. The Associate Director will manage, coach, and mentor one Manager and two Associates under their assigned portfolio.

You will:

- Initiate, maintain and grow highly complex relationships with existing and new Community Event groups as outlined in specific portfolio.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of some of the highest revenue generating Community Partnerships Events.
- Foster and develop a team of high performers and build a culture of excellence by:

- Developing goals and expectations for employees in alignment with the annual business plan and Foundation's strategic plan.
- Supporting, mentoring, and coaching employees' career/professional development.
- Building opportunities within plans/strategies for each employee to collaborate with others across all business channels.

- Lead by example to engage all stakeholders with the highest level of integrity, fairness and transparency.
- Responsible for the overall management of the Manager and Associates with a focus on orientation, training, goal setting, monitoring performance and leading team development.
- In collaboration with the Director, Community Partnerships develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned to financial plans.
- With the Director and the other Associate Director, create business plans for new, existing and lapsed business.
- Provide tactical expertise in fundraising events to Community Partnership Event Organizers.
- Manage and resolve challenging donor interactions on sensitive topics (hospital experiences, bereavement, financial accountability and receipting, Foundation/hospital policy, timelines).
- Identify and capitalize on new avenues to broaden networks and establish relationships with prospective high-profile donors and partners.
- Provide event guidance, constant communication, problem solving solutions and correspondence with event organizers and donors to ensure successful fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

- University or College Degree (fundraising diploma an asset) in Fundraising, Non-Profit Management, Project Management or another related field.
- 7+ years of experience within advancement; community events will be considered a strong asset.
- 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Proven track record as an exceptional fundraiser.
- Experience in Community Partnership Events, generating new business and reaching revenue targets.
- Ability to participate and drive strategic thinking and carry plans forward into action.
- Blackbaud CRM and/or other fundraising database experience.
- Strong project management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365.
- Drivers license and/or access to a car will be considered an asset.

Total Compensation Package:

Hiring Salary Range: $98,314.00 – $122,892.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $141,326.00.

Hours: 35-hour work week, flexible work options available.
