Key Responsibilities:
1. Yard Work & Gardening: Assist with lawn maintenance, weeding, planting, and other garden-related tasks to keep clients' outdoor spaces enjoyable and accessible.
2. Driving Services: Safely transport clients to and from appointments, shopping, and other errands. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
3. Assistance with Appointments: Accompany clients to their appointments, providing support like computer literacy and companionship.
4. Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping, organizing, and other odd jobs around the house to enhance the living environment of our clients.
5. Companionship: Offer companionship to clients through conversation, sharing stories, and participating in hobbies or interests.

Position Overview:
The Home Care Workers Co-operative is seeking compassionate and energetic student volunteers to assist our clients with various tasks that enable them to live more comfortably and independently. Our volunteers play a crucial role in uplifting the spirits of our clients by providing support with yard work, gardening, driving to medical appointments, and performing odd jobs around the house. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for students who wish to make a positive impact in their community while gaining valuable experience in the home care sector.
Requirements:
1. Must be a high school or college student with a current Vulnerable-Sector Criminal Record Check.
2. Compassionate, reliable, and respectful towards clients and their needs.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license (for driving-related tasks).
5. Must pass a background check.
6. Willingness to adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
Training & Support:
Volunteers will receive orientation and training relevant to their roles. Ongoing support and supervision will be provided to ensure a rewarding volunteer experience.
