Responsibilities

- Completion of 4 years apprenticeship program

- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failure

- Properly and safely install, replace and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels, including energy‑efficient systems

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, including in‑slab installations

- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors

- Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits

- Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment

- Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system following installation, replacement, or repair

- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components

- Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems

- Plan and execute electrical installations, including EMT and conduit work

- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records

- Support the growth and development of company culture

- Perform other duties as required

Requirements

- 6-10 years working in a field

- Leadership experience

- Position available for journeyperson to foreperson

Physical Requirements

- Must be able to stand and/or be on feet 10 hours a day

- Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs as needed

- Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10 hours a day
