Maintenance Manager – Manufacturing Facility

📍 Orillia, ON | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $95,000–$110,000

We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day maintenance operations at our manufacturing facility in Orillia. This is a high-impact leadership role suited for an experienced skilled trades professional (Millwright or Electrician preferred) who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and enjoys being close to the floor.

This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, facility integrity, and operational continuity while supporting safety, quality, and production objectives.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

- Lead and execute preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, diagnose root causes, and implement long-term solutions
- Maintain and operate boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, alarms, thermostats, and environmental systems
- Oversee emergency and scheduled repairs for equipment, buildings, and grounds (24/7 on-call responsibility)
- Plan and manage capital replacement projects (HVAC, roofing, production equipment, infrastructure)
- Build and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, inventories, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal safety regulations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation
- Prepare monthly reports and contribute to budgeting and forecasting
- Support continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and adoption of new technologies

What You Bring

- Skilled Trade Certification preferred (Millwright or Electrician)
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food & beverage manufacturing strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of thermoforming equipment (preferred)
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety standards, and contract/vendor management
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational capability
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education:

- High School Diploma/GED required
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a strong asset

Work Environment & Conditions

- On-site role in a manufacturing environment
- 24/7 emergency availability required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Exposure to indoor/outdoor conditions and varying temperatures
- Use of PPE as required
- Occasional local or off-site travel
