Job Overview:

We are looking for a Scrum Master & Product Designer to join our team in a dual role, combining the best of Agile leadership and user-centered design. You will play a key role in guiding our product teams through Scrum methodologies while also designing intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of Agile processes, facilitation, and UX/UI design, ensuring our teams are both productive and user-focused.

Primary Responsibilities:

Scrum Master Responsibilities (50%)

1. Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Reviews).
2. Coach teams in Agile best practices, improving collaboration and delivery efficiency.
3. Remove impediments to ensure smooth product development.
4. Monitor team performance using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).
5. Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize work effectively.
6. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through regular feedback loops.

Product Design Responsibilities (50%)

1. Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to identify pain points.
2. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that align with business goals.
3. Develop and maintain design systems for consistency across products.
4. Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
5. Advocate for user-centric design and accessibility best practices.
6. Iterate on designs based on feedback and data-driven insights.

Skills:

1. Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
2. Passion for both team efficiency and exceptional user experiences.
3. Ability to context-switch between Agile facilitation and design execution.
4. Collaborative, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience as a Scrum master or Agile Coach.
3. 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, product design, or interaction design.
4. Strong understanding of Scrum, and Agile frameworks.
5. Proficiency in Agile tools.
6. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP is a plus.
7. Proficiency in similar design tools.
8. Experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
9. Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, React, etc.) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

1. Employee may sit for prolonged periods of time.
2. Prolonged periods of time viewing computer monitor and keyboarding.
3. Tight deadlines, with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
4. Interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Open office floor plan means noise and a regular flow of people around the office.
6. Employee may be required to travel (overnight) as required.

Hours Of Work:

1. Workweeks are five days, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, starting at 0800, 0830 or 0900, as agreed upon between the employee and their manager.
2. Minimum hours of work each week is 40, unless otherwise agreed to between the employee and their manager.
3. Employee may be required to work additional hours, including weekends.
