Key Qualifications

- High School Diploma required. College and/or University Degree in Business Administration is an asset.
- CCS Certificate is required.
- Minimum five (5) years Customs Brokerage experience including two (2) years in a consulting, regulatory or similar professional services capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of CBSA and PGA import requirements.
- CTCS and/or Professional Designation is an asset.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products – command of Outlook, Word and Excel is required. Knowledge of ITMr4 is an asset.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written are required.
- Problem solving, accuracy, attention to detail and analytical ability are required.

Description of Role

The Regulatory Analyst is the go-to subject matter expert responsible for providing timely and accurate advice to a growing operations department and client base. A strong sense of ownership and pride over principal duties is required. This role continually provides opportunities to work independently and collaboratively to achieve entire perspective results.

- Answer incoming inquiries from clients.
- Review and process post entry adjustments.
- Research and respond to requests for complex information in a professional manner.
- Analyze and interpret information received from clients or internal team members.
- Perform complex classification for goods in all industries.
- Analyze the BOM (Bill of Materials) and prepare the CUSMA and other free trade agreements.
- Conduct analysis on client tariff database and update accordingly.
- Liaise with appropriate government departments as required.
- Prioritize and complete work according to project demands, customs requirements and Willson standards.
- Participate fully with other team members in the day-to-day operation of the team, including setting priorities, organizing and scheduling work, coordinating with others, problem solving and decision making.
- Occasional travel to our US HQ may be required to support system and/or product launches.
- All other duties as assigned.
