More specifically, the position holder will be expected to:
- Know and consistently comply with quality and food safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery or equipment—such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, boilers, etc.—according to plans and using manual and power tools
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment preventively to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Read plans, diagrams, schematics, documents, and procedures to determine the appropriate course of action
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Use machining tools, such as lathes and grinders, to manufacture parts needed for machine repair, maintenance, or assembly
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance tasks on machinery and work areas
- Troubleshoot and replace motors
- Replace photocells with wiring
- Perform minor electrical troubleshooting
- Carry out any other related tasks
