Maintenance - Service Supervisor
Objective
The Service Supervisor works with region's Technicians to ensure the successful productivity and customer service for the region. This role will have indirect authority over the Technicians and the responsibility of helping to hire Technicians for the region with the store managers, ensuring quality standards are fulfilled.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment repair experience or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and managing employee relations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Dashboards, RMUI/TSS/WSS software.
Responsibilities:
- Motivates, coaches and trains technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes.
- Works with store managers to ensure locations are adequately staffed based on skills and workload.
- Supports company initiatives to plan, measure and ensure continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics.
- Uses technology to track all relevant metrics and has a thorough understanding of how to hit the metrics and impacts if missed.
- Assists with hiring new Technicians in partnership with store managers.
- Assists onboarding all new Technicians in the region.
- Assists with schedules to focus on the backlog to ensure the region hits the unavailable equipment metric.
- Schedules Road Techs in the region and ensures quality and productivity hits metrics for company standards.
- Assists in evaluation of performance and promotability of team members.
- Conducts quarterly evaluations with the road tech.
- Identifies and provides necessary skills training and regular coaching.
- Promotes a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication.
- Promotes safety awareness.
