Museum Collections Management Assistant

This position involves a variety of collections management related tasks, including maintenance of physical storage and handling of collections. Some physical labour is required, which includes the ability to lift and/or move 22.5kg, as collections items need to be transported between floors.
Qualifications:
- Field of study in Museum Studies, History or related discipline;
- Experience in museums or archives would be an asset;
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Metadata and databases, particularly Collective Access would be an asset;
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with others;
- Meticulous and strong organizational skills.
The hourly wage for this position is $19.43 to $21.02 in accordance with the City of Swift Current CUPE Local 183 Collective Agreement.
