Commercial and Construction Litigation Associate

We are looking for a skilled Commercial and Construction Litigation Associate to join our clients dynamic team in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers the chance to work on diverse legal matters, including complex litigation cases, while collaborating with a highly experienced group. If you are a motivated lawyer with a strong background in construction and commercial law, this position provides excellent opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
• Handle a variety of litigation cases related to commercial and construction law, including breach of contract and construction delay claims.
• Manage Construction Lien claims and navigate shareholder disputes, oppression claims, and derivative actions.
• Address engineering and architectural issues, property loss or damage cases, and insurance-related property claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare persuasive legal documents to support litigation strategies.
• Represent clients effectively in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear and strategic advice tailored to their needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative legal strategies and ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage independent case files while maintaining a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
• Stay informed about developments in construction and commercial law to maintain expertise in the field.
• Contribute to the firm's reputation for excellence through efficient and strategic litigation practices.
