Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic golf professional looking to advance your career in a premier golf environment? Osoyoos Golf Club is seeking an Associate/Assistant Golf Professional to support our golf operations, instructional programs, and member services.
Job Summary
The Associate/Assistant Golf Professional plays a key role in delivering outstanding golf experiences for our members and guests. Reporting to the Head Golf Professional, this position assists in all aspects of golf operations, including instruction, tournament coordination, retail management, and member engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and grow within the golf industry.
Responsibilities
- Golf Operations: Assist with the daily management of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and customer service.
- Instructional Programs: Deliver lessons, clinics, and junior golf programs to help grow the game and enhance member engagement.
- Tournament & Event Support: Help organize and execute club tournaments, corporate outings, and member events.
- Member Leagues: Assist in organization and execution of weekly Member Leagues including working with League Committees.
- Member & Guest Services: Provide an exceptional experience for all members and guests, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Retail Sales & Merchandising: Support retail operations, including product knowledge, sales, and shop presentation.
- Golf Course Engagement: Monitor pace of play, enforce club policies, and assist with on‑course member services.
- PGA Membership Compliance: Maintain active membership with the PGA of Canada and stay current with professional development.
Qualifications
- PGA of Canada Member in good standing.
- Passion for golf, customer service, and growing the game.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with golf shop operations, merchandising, and tournament coordination.
- Minimum 2+ years previous work experience in a Golf Shop or similar role.
- Experience with Golf Genius would be considered an asset.
- Experience with Lightspeed POS would be considered an asset.
- Experience teaching lessons and/or running Junior programs would be considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
$4,375 to $4,750 per month based on experience
