Responsibilities Section:
1. Support the management team in the delivery of the business plan, providing timely key financial analysis, reports, and information to enable informed decision making.
2. Assist management throughout financial planning cycles (strategic plan, budget, and monthly forecasting).
3. Provide leadership team with variance analyses, explanations and determine root cause analysis for variances and trends.
4. Prepare financial reports by collecting and analyzing data; able to format information and substantiate results. Recommend financial actions by assessing options in relation to organizational goals.
5. Develop robust and credible financial and business models to support strategic and financial decisions, including resource prioritization and allocation in capital and other business investments.
6. Involved in the preparation of special project presentations and analyses, such as pricing, gross profit analysis, product line profitability, acquisition synergies, etc.
7. Participate in the preparation of the various corporate reporting requirements, such as the quarterly Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) meetings, annual strategic plan, annual regional operating review, and annual year-end operational review and current year projections.
8. Responsible for the management of all corporate financial reporting functions and related account analyses. Responsible for the monthly corporate closing process and reporting (HFM) including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) procedures.
9. Responsible for the monthly closing process, including gross margin analysis and related expenses. Provide variance analysis to budget and forecast with documentation to substantiate.
10. Support the Senior Director Finance with any miscellaneous reporting requests as required.
Requirements Section:
1. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA) with some experience in an industrial environment preferred.
2. 5 - 7 years of prior experience, with a strong background in Financial Analysis and FP&A.
3. Strong excel/modeling skills. Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
4. Proven team player with demonstrated capabilities in verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; well-developed problem-solving skills; organizational skills; self-directed and effective working with all levels of the organization. Must be able to interface with other leaders in the organization.
5. Ability to work independently and within a team environment with critical thinking skills.
6. Experience with integrated ERP systems strongly preferred (ideally Epicor).
7. Background in US GAAP, SOX compliance preferred.
