As we continue to scale, we are seeking to expand our team with a Risk Management Analyst.

Role Overview

Moomoo Canada is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Risk Management Analyst to join our growing team. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting fintech company that blends both traditional brokerage operations and cutting-edge technology.

The Risk Management Analyst is responsible for managing client and firm account deficiencies, ensuring timely resolutions to minimize financial risk. The Analyst demonstrates a strong understanding of CIRO rules related to client margin, cash, and registered accounts, as well as the asset classes offered by the company. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, safeguarding the organization's financial interests, and supporting overall risk management objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage client and firm account deficiencies ensuring timely resolution. Sellout accounts in margin call/deficiency state.
- Demonstrated understanding of CIRO rules related to client margin/cash/registered accounts and asset classes offered by Moomoo.
- Review and approve client requests related to changes in stock record/cash balance in line with Moomoo credit/risk policy.
- Manage internal inquiries relating to credit risk issues, stock record movements, and general inquiries.
- Keep knowledge of economic, market and regulatory developments that impact Moomoo risk and credit procedures.

Education/Qualifications

- Business / Finance degree or equivalent experience
- Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook, Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course.

Experience

- 5+ years relevant experience
- Prior experience and knowledge of brokerage, and investment industry.

Knowledge

- Deep knowledge of retail markets and brokerage products including equity and options
- Detailed knowledge of CIRO margin rules relating to equity and options.
- Knowledge of retail brokerage risk management frameworks

- Self-motivated individual with a high level of analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Strong analytic and problem-solving capability.
