Overview

Director, Manufacturing Engineering – Custom Products

Location: Sonova Kitchener

What You’ll Do

- Lead and develop a manufacturing engineering team.
- Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and post-launch optimization.
- Partner with R&D, Operations, and other teams to launch and scale products.
- Create and execute a multi-year improvement roadmap.
- Manage budgets and report progress to leadership.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

What We’re Looking For

- Engineering or Science degree (Electrical / Mechanical preferred); Master’s is a plus.
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience in regulated industries (medical devices, automotive, pharma).
- Strong background in automation, advanced manufacturing, or hearing devices is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, MS Project.
- English required; German or French an asset.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
