OVERVIEW

Title: Financial Data and Systems Analyst
Type: Contract (6 months, with strong likelihood of extension or conversion to full-time)
Schedule: Full-time, 9 AM–5 PM EST, hybrid (2 days per week in office preferred)
Overtime: None required

Hourly Rate: up to $40/hour

This role supports portfolio management and business enablement by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and strategic use of financial data and systems. The Financial Data and Systems Analyst plays a key role in optimizing reporting tools, maintaining data integrity, and supporting technology-driven improvements that enable smarter decision-making across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems & Data Management

- Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot SharePoint and Power Apps solutions to support business operations.

- Manage system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives to strengthen reporting and analytics.

- Ensure the consistency and compliance of financial data structures and repositories.

- Conduct technical investigations and resolve complex system issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving.

- Develop and implement data governance standards in partnership with Finance, IT, and Business Enablement teams.

Financial & Operational Support

- Validate funding requests and review contracts to support portfolio management activities.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data workflows and reporting accuracy.

- Contribute to financial systems projects aimed at improving transparency and performance tracking.

Collaboration & Communication

- Work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with peers and cross-functional partners.

- Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Manage priorities effectively in a high-volume, dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline).

- Minimum 3 years of experience with:

- SharePoint (administration and customization)

- Power Apps (development and support)

- Power BI (report building, dashboards, data modeling)

- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills across development, testing, and production environments.

- Proven ability to investigate complex technical issues and implement stable, scalable solutions.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

- Positive, adaptable mindset with strong independent work habits.

Preferred

- Experience as a Financial Analyst or in business management.

- Familiarity with SQL, databases, and programming languages.

- Background supporting systems development or automation projects.

- Technical education or certifications related to data analytics, business intelligence, or system integration.
