THE TEAM

The mission of the Planning Department is to build the corporate sales and inventory plan to entrepreneurially and methodically drive the business.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Planning team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for developing sound product plans to maximize sales while minimizing risk. As the Senior Director/Director of Product Planning, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with the business to drive reporting and analysis to enable data-driven decision making for the Product Division. THE ROLE

As the Senior Director/Director of Product Planning you will:

1. Leverage a deep understanding of the business and competitive landscape to develop accurate seasonal and long-term projections.
2. Partner closely with Buying & Inventory Planning to monitor and report on performance against corporate OTB and projections.
3. Provide accurate and frequent product insights to drive future purchasing strategies.
4. Build and deliver inventory strategies to react to changes in demand; including chase, cancellation, re-flow, and exit.
5. Leverage strong relationships with Product Creative teams (Merchandising and Design) to understand how long-range trend forecasts will affect current inventory ownership & future projections.
6. Manage the amount of corporate inventory position.
7. Consistently evaluate Aritzia and Competitor product performance.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Director/Director of Product Planning has:

1. Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or experience in Merchandise Planning.
2. Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.
3. Experience working closely with Product Lifecycle teams incl. Merchandising, Buying, Design, and Production.
4. Strong awareness of the overall product lifecycle is a must.
5. Able to clearly and confidently communicate with cross-functional partners at all levels.
6. A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles.
7. The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes.
8. The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team.
9. A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value.
10. A deep understanding and commitment for the industry in which we operate.

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position is eligible for bonus and equity.
