Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Remote Senior IT Security Threat and Risk Assessment Analyst for our Federal Government client. This is a remote role and can be filled from anywhere within Canada.
Role Overview:
- We are seeking a Senior IT Security Threat and Risk Assessment Analyst to support our Federal Government client. The consultant will lead and conduct IT Security risk assessments, Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) activities, and provide expert guidance on ITSG-33 compliance for cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA) and SA&A activities based on ITSG-33 guidelines.
- Assess security posture of a cloud-based data platform (data warehousing, data lakes, data engineering, data science).
- Develop and deliver key security documentation:
- System Security Plan (SSP)
- Security Assessment Plan (SAP)
- Security Assessment Report (SAR)
- Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)
- Authorization to Operate (ATO) package
- Perform compliance mapping against ITSG-33, PBMM Cloud Control Profile, and NIST 800-53.
- Provide IT security advice and guidance for cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with departmental stakeholders and security authorities.
- Create templates and improve IT Security Risk Management processes.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 10+ years experience as an IT Security Threat and Risk Assessment Analyst.
- Minimum 2 years recent experience with cloud security assessments (within last 8 years).
- Demonstrated experience with ITSG-33 and GC security frameworks.
- Valid Secret clearance at contract award.
Rated Assets:
- Experience delivering TRAs for Government of Canada departments.
- Experience improving Protected B security risk management processes.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP (preferred).
