Senior Mainframe Application Developer

Job Title: Senior Mainframe Application Developer Work Arrangement - Onsite, 5 days/week - Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Role Summary The Senior Mainframe Application Developer will be responsible for end-to-end design, development, maintenance, and support of large-scale mainframe applications. The role involves working with hierarchical databases, legacy systems, and enterprise‑grade tools while collaborating with cross‑functional IT teams throughout the SDLC. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe applications - Translate system and business specifications into working, tested solutions - Perform IMS database reorganization, unload/reload, and recovery activities - Manage server‑side logic and ensure performance, reliability, and responsiveness - Troubleshoot production issues and provide post‑implementation support - Maintain technical and user documentation - Participate in design walkthroughs and structured development methodologies - Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to meet delivery timelines Required Skills & Experience Core Experience (Mandatory) - 10+ years of experience in programming and systems analysis - 10+ years working with structured development methodologies - 10+ years in full lifecycle application development (design, code, test, debug, document) - 10+ years experience with hierarchical databases: - IMS DB - VSAM - IMS DB Reorganization, Unload/Reload, Recovery Control - 10+ years hands‑on experience with: - Enterprise COBOL - Assembler - JCL - TSO/ISPF - REXX - CLIST - BTS առաջ> Mainframe & Tools - IMS DB/DC (Full Function & FASTPATH) - CA Telon (3GL development) - IBM ACB, BDB, PSB generation - CA Easytrieve, CA SAR - CA Scheduler, File‑Aid, Abend‑Aid - IBM 3270 SNA, NDM and related communication protocols Domain Experience - Experience with property registration systems (PPSR or similar) preferred - Experience working in large enterprise environments with defined policies and procedures Soft Skills - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities - Clear verbal намоянand and written communication facilitates teamwork - Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams - Proven ability to meet deadlines in high‑dependency environments Nice to Have - Experience with internet‑ready applications and middleware - Knowledge of rapid application development (RAD) methodologies - Experience reviewing and modifying installation scripts - Understanding of information management principles and accessibility standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
