Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in providing senior level financial analysis, management reporting, and decision support to drive informed business decisions within LGM, a national leader in warranty, finance, and insurance services for the Canadian automotive industry.
This role fosters a collaborative environment that supports teamwork and achievement of results across departments and business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of forecasts for revenue, earnings, working capital, cash flows, and bank covenants for distribution to senior leadership, shareholders, and lenders.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to forecast and monitor monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year sales expectations, incorporating sales funnel and upside/downside expectations.
- Participate in the annual budget process, including preparation of operating and capital budgets, baseline earnings, working capital, cash flow, and other complex analyses, as required. Assist in developing budget consolidation and presentation materials.
- Provide business and financial insights to all business functions and product lines, monitoring and communicating performance to plan, reviewing trends, and variances with managers and leaders.
- Assist operations in preparing business cases, developing financial inputs, and creating financial models, including sensitivity analyses, to analyze the impact of proposed projects and initiatives on baseline information and performance.
- Prepare trend and run-rate analysis to evaluate potential opportunities for savings and risks to meet budget and forecast requirements.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze profitability by product, product group, and channel, including overhead allocation, to support effective product pricing.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and reporting financial KPIs.
- Prepare reports for ad hoc requests by management, for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously look for opportunities to streamline and enhance financial data for analysis and reporting.
Compensation and Benefits:

- A birthday off and a vehicle rebate program of up to $400 per month are also provided.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role requiring 1-3 days a week in office.
