Compensation Specialist

Main Responsibilities:
1. Compensation:
1. Assist in implementing compensation policies and strategies aligned with company objectives.
2. Conduct market studies to compare and assess internal and external salary data.
3. Contribute to the development and management of salary grids.
4. Prepare and analyze salary data reports to support strategic decision-making.
5. Collaborate in managing annual performance evaluations and salary adjustment processes.
6. Maintain the pay equity file up to date, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
7. Prepare and update reports related to pay equity for internal audits or regulatory submissions.
2. HRIS Administration:
1. Manage and maintain the HRIS on a daily basis, ensuring data accuracy and currency.
2. Configure new modules and update functionalities based on company needs.
3. Train internal users on HRIS functionalities and provide technical support.
4. Generate HR reports and dashboards from the HRIS to support management teams.
5. Identify and resolve technical or functional issues related to the system.
3. General Support:
1. Collaborate with the HR team on various projects, such as benefits management and HR audits.
2. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes through optimized HRIS utilization.
3. Ensure compliance with HR practices in line with applicable laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Skills and Requirements:
1. College diploma or bachelor's degree, with 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
2. Quick learner with a strong interest in working with numbers.
3. Proven ability to work with various computer systems and adapt quickly to new technological tools.
4. Excellent analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
5. Strong attention to detail, rigor, and ability to handle confidential data.
6. Solid written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
Assets:
1. Prior exposure to compensation and/or HRIS systems such as HiBob, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.
2. Knowledge of compensation management principles and salary market analysis.
3. Experience in project management or improving HR processes.
